Pre-Arrival Guidance for LSIS International Students

Pre-Arrival Guidance for London Innovative Studies International Students

Visa Guidance Notes

For courses lasting up to six months, students should apply for a Student Visitor (Short-Term) Visa. However, if your course is in English language, it can extend up to nine months under the same visa category. The Certificate of Enrolment required for your visa application will be issued by London Innovative Studies upon receipt of at least half of your tuition fees. When applying for the visa, you should bring the following documents to the British Embassy or High Commission:

  • Certificate of Enrolment from London Innovative Studies
  • Your passport
  • Proof of sufficient funds to cover living expenses in the UK
  • Academic certificates and qualifications
  • Documentation showing your intent to return to your home country after completing your studies

For any difficulties with the visa application, contact London Innovative Studies for assistance. It is crucial to familiarize yourself with the visa regulations and conditions.

Note: If you plan to take an English language course extending up to nine months, ensure that your visa covers this period. Switching visas while in the UK may not be possible.

Preparing for Visa Application

To avoid delays, apply for your visa well in advance. Schedule an appointment with the British Embassy or High Commission, and bring all necessary documents to the visa interview. Arriving early will help you avoid long queues.

Key Points for the Visa Interview:

  • Prove you are a genuine student
  • Demonstrate financial capability to cover tuition and living expenses without working in the UK or claiming welfare benefits
  • Show that you intend to return to your home country after completing your studies

Bring documentation of your academic qualifications, financial stability (e.g., bank drafts, sponsor letters), and ties to your home country.
