Deposit Refund Policy

Deposit Refund Policy

Policy Statement

London Innovative Studies aims to maintain transparency and fairness in handling deposit payments and refunds. This policy outlines the terms under which deposits are eligible for refunds, ensuring students are informed of their financial commitments prior to enrolment.

2. Non-Refundable Registration Fee

The £250 registration fee is non-refundable under any circumstances. This fee is required to secure a student’s place in the program and covers administrative costs related to the admissions process.

3. Tuition Deposits

For students who make additional deposits toward tuition fees, refunds may be granted under specific circumstances, as detailed below.

4. Eligibility for Deposit Refunds

Deposit refunds are generally only available under the following conditions:

  • Visa Refusal: If a student’s visa application is refused, they may be eligible for a refund of the tuition deposit, excluding the non-refundable registration fee, upon submission of the official visa refusal notice from the relevant authority.
  • Program Cancellation by the College: If London Innovative Studies cancels a program due to unforeseen circumstances, the student is entitled to a full refund of the deposit, including the registration fee.
  • Medical Emergencies: In cases where a student is unable to commence their studies due to a verified medical emergency, they may apply for a partial refund of the tuition deposit. Supporting medical documentation is required for consideration.

5. Ineligibility for Deposit Refunds

Deposits will not be refunded in the following circumstances:

  • Withdrawal by the Student: If a student withdraws voluntarily from the program after accepting the offer, the deposit will not be refunded.
  • Failure to Meet Course Entry Requirements: If a student does not meet the necessary entry requirements after the deposit has been paid, the deposit will not be refunded.
  • Non-Compliance with Deadlines: Students who fail to provide required documentation or meet payment deadlines are not eligible for a refund of their deposit.

6. Procedure for Requesting a Refund

  1. Submit Refund Request Form: The student must complete a Refund Request Form and submit it to the Finance Office along with all required supporting documents (e.g., visa refusal notice, medical certificates).
  2. Review and Verification: The Finance Office reviews the request and verifies the documentation within 28 days.
  3. Refund Decision: If the refund is approved, the Finance Office will process the refund using the original payment method, and a confirmation will be sent to the student. If the refund is denied, the student will receive a written explanation.

7. Processing Time for Refunds

All eligible refunds are processed within 28 days of receiving a completed refund request and all supporting documentation.

8. Appeals

Students who believe their refund request was unjustly denied may submit an appeal to the College Appeals Committee within 14 days of receiving the decision.

This policy ensures that students at London Innovative Studies understand the conditions and procedures for deposit refunds, promoting transparency and fairness in financial transactions.
